The MenoMeetup group was set up to have open and honest discussions about the menopause in a safe, comfortable and fun space. We welcome everyone regardless of age and gender to take part and hope that by discussing real-life experiences and sharing information the stigma and stereotypes around the menopause will reduced.

This is an opportunity for anyone to join informal conversations with individuals about the lived experiences of Peri-menopause and Menopause. You are welcome to drop-in when you want, bring your lunch and share your stories!

Newcastle University is delighted to organise and host the 2022 Data Science Perspectives—Multidisciplinary PhD Conference, aimed at PhD students from across the entire Turing Institute network. Our primary aim in offering this conference is to facilitate network and community building among early-career researchers in data science and AI research areas, whilst also providing an opportunity to share research, build future collaborations and benefit from professional development activities.

We are delighted to announce a one-day multidisciplinary sandpit on Data Science Perspectives to be held in Newcastle on 21st September.

The Sandpit will offer participants the opportunity to network and build small teams around ongoing challenges related to data science. Following the Sandpit, individuals and groups will have the opportunity to bid for pilot research support to be undertaken by Newcastle’s Research Software Engineering (RSE) team.

The pandemic response, in particular, has highlighted the wide range of challenges inherent to communication of science and public engagement in the 21st Century. With our third Northern Data Debate, our panellists address fundamental and timely questions around public trust, the nature of “expertise”, and the potential perils—and vital importance—of science and public engagement.
